A student is provided with two solutions, X (aqueous sulphuric acid, 4.9 g dm⁻³) and Y (aqueous sodium hydroxide, 5.0 g of impure NaOH in 1 dm³). The student titrates X against 25.0 cm³ of Y to determine the purity of the sodium hydroxide. Figure 1 shows burette readings before and after each titration.
Calculate the concentration of sulphuric acid in solution X in mol dm⁻³. (Relative atomic mass: H = 1; S = 32; O = 16)
