CAPE Biology Unit 1 · 2004 · Paper 2 · Question 5(c)

The metabolic pathway shows enzyme reactions producing isoleucine from threonine. Enzyme A converts threonine to intermediate product A. High concentrations of isoleucine reduce enzyme A activity, while lack of isoleucine causes rapid reactions.

Discuss the regulation that is occurring in the metabolic pathway described.
