CAPE Physics Unit 2 · 2003 · Paper 2 · Question 5(a)(ii)

Conduction of charges in a metal conductor.

Show that the current, I, flowing through the conductor is given by I = n e v A, where n is the number of charge carriers, e is the charge on EACH carrier, v is the drift velocity, and A is the cross sectional area of the conductor.
