CAPE Physics Unit 2 · 2008 (T&T) · Paper 2 · Question 1(b)(ii)

A coil with 16 turns is wound on top of a solenoid with cross-sectional area of 50 cm^2. An a.c. current through the solenoid produces a peak magnetic field of 7.5 mT changing at a frequency of 500 Hz.

Find the peak value of the e.m.f. induced in the coil, given that the equation for the variation of the flux linkage is \Phi = \Phi_0 \sin 2\pi f t.
