A coil with 16 turns is wound on top of a solenoid with cross-sectional area of 50 cm^2. An a.c. current through the solenoid produces a peak magnetic field of 7.5 mT changing at a frequency of 500 Hz.

Describe briefly how you could show that the induced e.m.f. depends on the area of the coil.

The mark scheme is shown once you've answered.
