Equipment allows high-temperature steam to be blown through pipe A, causing a light frictionless piston at D to push on switch E. Initially, the equipment is at 25°C. Steam is blown through pipe A.

Use the kinetic theory to explain why the piston at D eventually pushes on the switch at E.
