CAPE Applied Mathematics Unit 2 · 2016 · Paper 2 · Question 6(b)

A particle of mass 20 kg on a rough horizontal surface is pulled by a 50 N force inclined at 60° above the horizontal. Take g = 10 m s⁻².

If the particle is just about to slip, find the coefficient of friction between the particle and the surface.
