An electric train starts from rest and accelerates uniformly, attaining its maximum speed after travelling 0.5 km. It maintains this speed for 1.5 km and then, through constant retardation is brought to rest after a further 0.3 km.

Using the graph, determine the initial uniform acceleration of the train, if the time taken for the whole journey is 6 minutes.
