An investigation compares fitness in 10 women (35 years old), consisting of 5 smokers (Group A) and 5 non-smokers (Group B), using a set of stairs, blood pressure measuring equipment, and a stopwatch.

Design a precise experiment and describe the measurements you would take to determine which group is the fittest in terms of pulse rate (P), blood pressure elevation (BP), and breathing rate (BR) following exercise.

The mark scheme is shown once you've answered.
