An object on the edge of a cliff 45 m above the ground is projected with a speed of 20\text{ ms}^{-1} at an angle of 30^\circ to the horizontal.

Show that the distance from the foot of the cliff to the point where the object strikes the ground is x = 5(\sqrt{120} - \sqrt{3})\text{ m}.
