Figure 4 shows a 0.5 kg mass on a steel wire 1 m long and 2 x 10⁻³ m in diameter (Young modulus = 2 x 10¹¹ Pa) being whirled in a vertical circle. The mass is at its lowest position and its velocity at this point is 38 m s⁻¹. The breaking stress of the wire is 7.2 x 10⁸ N m⁻².

At the LOWEST point, calculate the tension in the wire.
