An ammeter is inserted at Y to monitor current I and a voltmeter monitors terminal voltage V_T as R1 is adjusted, yielding the data in Table 1.

The slope, S, of the graph is related to the internal resistance, r, by S = -1/r Ω^-1. Find S and hence determine the internal resistance, r, of the battery.
