The focal length of a lens can be found by measuring several values of image distance V, corresponding to different values of the object distance U, using a pin or no parallax method.

Explain how, by plotting a suitable graph, the focal length of the lens could be determined from the data collected. Include a sketch of the graph you would expect to obtain.
