A farmer planted 50 corn seeds on one plot and 100 seeds on a similar plot, providing both with the same fertilizer and water. The plot with 100 seeds yielded much less corn than the plot with 50 seeds.

Suggest THREE possible reasons for the lower yield obtained in the plot with the larger number of seeds.
