This question is about energy and motion.
The car on a roller coaster (Figure 6) is travelling at 12 m s⁻¹ at the top of a hill but a short time later when it reaches the bottom of the hill, 35 m below, it is travelling much faster. Assuming frictional losses are negligible, write an equation to represent the energy transformation occurring and use it to find the speed of the car at the bottom of the hill.
