The following equation represents the reaction between hydrogen and iodine: H₂(g) + I₂(g) ⇌ 2 HI(g), ΔH = -10 kJ mol⁻¹. The reaction is said to be in a state of equilibrium at a particular temperature and pressure.

Write the expression for the equilibrium constant in terms of partial pressures, Kₚ, for the reaction shown by the equation above.
