Question 4 is based on three documents relating to the dismantling of the slave system in the Caribbean: Document I describes a 'scramble' sale of enslaved people; Document II is an 1808 letter regarding economic factors and the slave trade; Document III is an 1833 speech by Secretary Stanley concerning gradual emancipation.

With reference to Document I, outline THREE reasons put forward by the abolitionist lobby for the abolition of the slave trade to the British Caribbean.
