The thermistor obeying Figure 1 is connected in a circuit with a 10 V supply, an ammeter, a switch S, a 200 Ω resistor, and a resistor R in series with the thermistor, as shown in Figure 2. The ammeter reads 100 mA when switch S is closed.

Determine the potential difference across the thermistor.
