Incomplete structures of alpha glucose, beta glucose, and a monosaccharide found in sucrose are provided.

A sample of chickpea snack was mixed with 2 ml absolute ethanol, shaken, allowed to settle, and the ethanol decanted into a tube with 2 ml cold water. The solution remained colourless. State a suitable conclusion based on this observation.
