Positive ions travelling at 1.6 x 10^5 m s^-1 pass undeflected through a perpendicular magnetic field of 0.15 T and an electric field in a velocity selector.

Write equations for the forces on the ions caused by the electric field and the magnetic field and hence calculate the electric field strength E.
