CAPE Computer Science Unit 2 · 2016 · Paper 2 · Question 3(e)

A prospective student sends an application to a university. Each application is inspected and an acceptance/rejection letter is sent. Accepted students take their acceptance letter and supporting documents to register. Registration details are stored in the student information file and a student ID is issued. The student uses the ID to pay university and sundry fees via credit card. Fees are processed, financial details stored in the finance file, and a receipt is issued to confirm payment and completion of registration.

Draw a Level-0 dataflow diagram (DFD) to model the data flows described in the university registration system scenario.
