A Physics class was given a circuit diagram as shown in Figure 8. Use Figure 8 to answer the three questions posed to the class. Given that the formula for the equivalent resistance of two resistors R₁ and R₂ in parallel is R = R₁R₂ / (R₁ + R₂),

Calculate the current flowing in the closed circuit.
