R and S are two allotropes of carbon. R is a black flaky opaque solid (melting point 3925 °C), while S is a reflective, colourless solid (melting point 3823 °C).

Sketch the structure of R using solid lines (—) for strong bonds and dotted lines (••••••) for weak bonds.
