An elevator is initially stationary, moves upwards with constant acceleration for 3 s, continues with constant velocity for 5 s, and decelerates to rest in 1 s, as shown in the displacement-time graph.

Use the information from Figure 1 to plot a graph of velocity, v, against time, t, to show the motion of the elevator on the grid provided in Figure 2, clearly identifying points A, B, C, and D.
