Figure 5 shows in outline how a plant breeder developed a variety of a particular plant which had large leaves and large flowers. Both of the parent varieties (1 and 2) were true breeding (homozygous) for flower size.
Complete the genetic diagram below to show what happened the first time the two varieties were crossed, if small flowers are dominant to large flowers.
