Ragoo permitted Navin to live on and maintain 15 acres of land, promising a plot in return. Relying on this, Navin built a house and maintained the land for five years. After a dispute, Ragoo served a one-month notice to quit and sued Navin for possession.

Advise Navin whether or not he can succeed in his claim for an interest in the plot of land which he occupies.
