CSEC Physics · 1990 · Paper 2 · Question 1(c)(i)

Plane electromagnetic wavefronts travel in air at 3.0 x 10^8 m s^-1 and hit a plane refracting surface at an angle of 30°. The wavelength in air is 4.0 x 10^-7 m and velocity in the second medium is 2.2 x 10^8 m s^-1.

Calculate the frequency of the waves in air.
