The uptake of potassium ions by young cereal roots was measured over time at 0 °C and 25 °C. Potassium cyanide was added after 90 minutes, as shown in Figure 3.

State the effect of potassium cyanide on potassium uptake at EACH temperature (0 °C and 25 °C), and give a brief explanation.
