Natalie (aged 16) is at a party when Rory, who is visibly drunk, stares at her and asks her to dance. When she refuses, Rory slaps her and accuses her of disrespect. As she tries to leave, he blocks her and chases her with a stick. Natalie grabs a knife. Rory raises his stick; Natalie dodges and stabs him. Rory dies in the hospital two weeks later.

Explain the defence that may be available to Natalie.
