The symbol for a transformer is shown. Complete the circuit diagram to show how a transformer, together with the components listed below, could be used to charge a 12 V car battery from a 120 V mains supply. Components: Rectifier diode, variable resistor, ammeter. The variable resistor and ammeter are used to obtain the correct charging current through the battery.
