A ball is projected with speed 45 ms⁻¹ at angle α above the horizontal from point A (height 4 m above ground) and lands at B (horizontal distance 90 m from A). Take g = 10 ms⁻².

Show that 20 tan² α – 90 tan α + 16 = 0.
