Impaired glucose tolerance is a risk factor for certain diseases. An oral glucose tolerance test was administered to persons with normal glucose tolerance (NGT) and impaired glucose tolerance (IGT1 and IGT2). Blood plasma glucose levels were monitored at 30-minute intervals for 2 hours. The data are given in Table 1.
