Marine biologists are studying the distribution of organisms in a marine ecosystem. Figure 1 shows drawings of different types of fish collected.

A gill from one of the fish is shown in Figure 2. Annotate Figure 2 to illustrate TWO characteristics that make the gill suitable for gaseous exchange.
