Two objects, of masses m₁ and m₂, travelling in opposite directions collide. Their velocities before collision (u₁ and u₂) and after (v₁ and v₂) are given in Table 3.

Calculate the total kinetic energy of the two objects before the collision, given that m₁ = 8.5 kg.
