During the development of the embryo sac the original nucleus divides three times to form 8 nuclei. Each of these 8 nuclei has 2 nucleoli, as shown in Figure 2 (a). Some time after pollination, a single nucleus with 6 nucleoli, similar to that shown in Figure 2 (b) can be seen.

Explain how the 6 nucleoli arise in this nucleus.
