CAPE Physics Unit 1 · 2011 · Paper 2 · Question 4(b)(ii)

Figure 3 shows a ski jump. A ski jumper of mass 60 kg starts from rest at the top, A, of the jump track (22 m above landing). The jumper leaves the track horizontally at Point B, which is 12 m below the starting point.

Calculate the time the skier takes to hit the ground after he has left Point B.
