In the diagram, E, C, G and F are points on the circumference of a circle. EG is a diameter of the circle. The tangent AEB is parallel to CD. Angle AEC = 68^\circ and angle EFD = 106^\circ. Determine the value of angle ECD. Show detailed working where necessary and give a reason to support your answer.
