CAPE Physics Unit 1 · 2013 · Paper 2 · Question 2(c)(ii)

Two students measure the speed of sound. One claps d metres from a wall, synchronizing claps with echoes. The other measures the time for 20 claps (from the first clap to the last echo after the twentieth clap). This is repeated for various d values, and results are in Table 2.

On the grid provided on page 9, plot a graph of d against t/2. Draw the best straight line through the points.
