Data in Table 1 was obtained from an experiment where an X-ray beam of intensity I₀ passed through a series of 2 cm thick lead plates. The emerging beam intensity I was measured at each stage.

From the graph plotted in (b)(i), determine the thickness of lead which will reduce the intensity of the X-ray beam by 95%.
