A circuit diagram is shown in Figure 1 with a 24 V source, a 1 kΩ resistor, a 2 kΩ resistor, a 3 kΩ resistor, and open terminals A and B.

Determine the reading when an ideal voltmeter is connected between points A and B in Figure 1.
