Ethanol is an important commodity, commercially obtained from ethene and carbohydrates.

Write a chemical equation to illustrate the reaction taking place in the commercial preparation of ethanol from EACH of the following: a) Ethene b) Glucose. In EACH case you should state the reaction conditions.
