Figure 6 illustrates the trends in population numbers and per capita gross national income for a Caribbean country from 1990 to 2005.

The country completed a pollution index exercise where 0 indicates no pollution and 100 indicates high pollution; the index rose from 14 in 1990 to 73 in 2005. Use the information in Figure 6 and your answer to (b)(i) to discuss TWO likely causes of the rise in pollution.
